May 24, 2019 Kids Will Be Introduced to Aladdin

Aladdin was always one of my favorite Disney movies because the music was incredible. Every once in a while, I find myself singing “Arabian Nights.” I also loved that the story was about a young boy going on an adventure and learning how to navigate the world despite his poor background. Generation Z will fall in love with the magic that the genie brings, but will also understand the true strength lies in personal growth and loyalty.

The 2019 new version of Aladdin

This new version of Aladdin will be similar, but with much more incredible adventures. In the Youtube link: below you’ll get to see a glimpse of Will Smith as the Genie. I can’t wait to see this movie with my daughters.

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia; Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim.

“Aladdin” is produced by Dan Lin, p.g.a., and Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a., with Marc Platt and Kevin De La Noy serving as executive producers. Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar®-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and includes two new songs written by Menken and Oscar and Tony Award®-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

DUMBO flies into theaters on March 29, 2019

Dumbo really takes viewers way back, so far back, I wasn’t even born when the first movie was released by Disney in 1941. This movie happens to be one of my mom’s favorites that she remembers from her childhood. The beauty of a remake of Dumbo is a tale of an amazingly loving mother who thinks the world of her child. The struggle that Dumbo faces within himself is also completely timeless and will reveal to Generation Z that loving yourself will literally take you to new heights.

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Directed by Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger (“Ophelia,” “Dream House”), and produced by Justin Springer (“TRON: Legacy”), Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” “Big Eyes”) and Derek Frey (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” “Frankenweenie”).DUMBO flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.

TOY STORY 4 is bouncing back into theaters across the nation June 21, 2019

Bo Peep 2019 Disney's ToyStory

I was in middle school when the first Toy Story movie was first released in 1995. I watched it with the younger kids in my family and was surprisingly hooked and captivated that I’ve watched every single toy story movie at least 5 times. The humor in Toy Story is universal and the movies take you through several emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, revenge, love, etc. My kids are already huge Toy Story fans, because in 2010 with the release of the 3rd movie in the series, my husband and I had decided to catch them up with the rest of the movies so this 2019 movie release is exciting for everyone in the family.

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”).

Parenting Keys to Success

The 2019 Disney Movies Reveal Theses Parenting Keys to Success

It’s important to note, that in Aladdin children learn empathy and intellectual prowess and maturity – Parents can have a discussion with their children afterward in the car ride home about how each trait was revealed in the movie.

Dumbo is a tale about inner strength and one child’s differences that he was once teased about turned out to be a benefit to him later on in life. Parents can use this story about differences to discuss their own child’s gifts and abilities.

Lastly, Toy Story 4 reminds us that teamwork is an important skill to possess, overcome, and master. The toys have learned how to work together in each of the 4 movies which in-turn has saved their lives. Parents can share attributes of how teamwork is beneficial in their own lives careers. Then they talk with their child to find out if he or she has his own examples of how teamwork can make a person’s life better or a project run smoother.
