5 Useful Tips to Shop for your Favorite Electronics at Staples

A couple of years ago I discovered the secret world of tech shopping at our local Staples.  Staples offers several ways to save big on your favorite electronics.  Below I list a couple of ways that we save and obtain great products.

1. Become a rewards member. Most of Staples best deals are targeted at their loyal rewards customers who earn 10% back on their purchases. This year as a rewards member I was able to buy a 20-pack of Duracell batteries and get 100% back in rebate rewards. Their rewards add up as you recycle your used ink and buy products that give customers an instant rebate. The great thing about their rewards is that their will be many enticing deals before your rewards expire so that you can get more for your money.

2. Follow Staples ads and posted deals. All year round Staples has unbeatable deals. On Black Friday, many of their sale items are marked well below 50%. If you follow their ads and sign-up for their daily deals you can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars just by looking for and purchasing sale items. This year they had blue-tooth sets for $4.99 and the original price was $29.99.

3. Shop their clearance shelves. During the holidays, your money can run out quickly if you are not savvy and budget conscious about how much you are willing to spend.  Staples clearance shelves can help you save money just by being on the lookout.  At my local Staples, the clearance shelves are in the back of the store where some people rarely go.  Surprisingly, I discovered these shelves while taking my daughter to the restroom, otherwise I probably never would have noticed them.  There were so many useful items for a persons home office and furniture too.  My most useful find was some wood floor wax that was marked 50% to 75% off the original price.  The wax came in handy when I needed to spruce up my home for the holidays. They also had “as seen on TV” items on their Clearance rack and back to school binders, notebooks, calculators, and clocks .  Back to school items make great holiday gifts because many students need to refuel their supplies for second semester.

4. Shop online through Ebates and get free delivery by choosing to pick up your items from the store. Getting cash back from Ebates and their rewards cards is great.  Especially when you are in need of big ticket items like computers, cameras, printers, shredders etc.  Saving on shipping saves times and can be cheaper then going to the store because you can easily compare prices through price grabber and read reviews online.

SAVINGS TIP: Always, check your local print ads for store coupons, and do an internet search for valid coupons or a coupon code. During the holidays check out sites like these: cybermonday.com and Black Friday ads

I wrote this blog post while participating in the TwitterMoms and Staples blogging program, making me eligible for a $50 gift card. For more information on how you can participate, click here. Although I wrote this post for the program it has not influenced the content above.  I have been a staples shopper even before I was a blogger.
