I’m sure by now, you’ve heard about the push to help young women develop leadership skills from a young age. Sheryl’s Sandberg‘s book “Lean In” and her “Ban Bossy” campaign have both helped elevate the conversation to front row status. The conversation in the media is intense and the motivating factors behind all of the media coverage has become a profound reminder to parents of young ladies to take notice of their daughters’ talents and encourage them to live up to their full potential.
I’m the youngest daughter of five, and the mother of two daughters who are avid readers and future leaders. One of my most important goals, is to help raise my daughters into leaders who are not afraid to take intelligent calculated risk to fulfill their dreams.
