Last year, sometime in March, I went to our local Outlet Mall. I planned to stop at two stores: Old Navy, for my daughters, and Banana Republic’s Factory Outlet Store, for myself.
In Old Navy, I headed straight to the clearance section and I bought 3 pajama sets, 4 long sleeve cotton shirts, 2 pair of lounge pants, and 2 packs of socks with 3 pairs of socks to each package. My total was a little over $53. I was excited about my simple finds, but soon realized there were more deals to be found.
My twins were about 5 months old at the time and I needed to change their diapers, so while I was in the family rest room a lady informed me that the Children’s Place had sweaters on sell for $0.99 and socks and stockings were ringing up $0.19. Although, I was ready to go by that time because being in a mall with two small babies was exhausting for me, I quickly mustered up some energy and headed over to The Children’s Place.
I stayed in the store for an hour or more and purchased over $80 worth of the clothes for my girls and also my niece that was pregnant at the time. I bought short sleeve and long sleeve tops, dressy skirts; play outfits, shoes, stockings, socks, leggings, sweaters, jackets, and sleepers. I bought clothes for the next couple of seasons by estimating their sizes and their growth patterns.
Even now, a year later my daughters can still wear many of the great buys I found that day. I ended up spending so much time in The Children’s Place that I no longer felt like shopping for myself. Even though, I didn’t have anything new for me to wear, I had quality clothing for my daughters, purchased at an unbeatable price. Now, I shop their clearance section every year. That day, started my love affair with getting great deals and shopping at an Outlet Mall.
The outfits in the picture cost $2 a piece.
