Life Lessons From the Lion King #TheLionKing

The Lion King is packed with themes about family, love, loss, and life’s journey. Young Simba is my favorite character because he is innocent, curious, fearful, and yet courageous. Just like many of us, he is unsure of the world around him and is trying to find his place in the world. In fact, just because he is the king’s son doesn’t mean that his life-journey is easy. Instead of being smooth and simple, Simba learns that in life he has to be careful about who he trusts. He also learns that greatness lives within him. These are all lessons that every person on earth embarks upon on our own. So the movie is a great way to see the highs and lows on life onscreen. The best part is that Simba rises above the adversity he faces so there is a positive ending.

I Can’t Wait for The Lion King’s Release

Of course, I’m excited about the life lessons story-line, but the beauty of the movie itself is incredible. The shots are filmed like we’re watching a National Geographic Movie. While at the same time, we are given Disney’s signature musical style, entertainment, and humor. Watch the trailer below. Doesn’t the look like it will be fantastic?

Official Movie Summary

Disney’s “The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau (“The Jungle Book”), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The release date for The Lion King is July 19, 2019, save the date and introduce the movie and incredible life lessons to a new generation.
