Do you remember watching The Smurfs as a child? I have fond memories of The Smurfs, and I’m glad I can share these kind and fun-loving characters with my own children. Finding a good craft to do on a rainy day is fun, below is a Smurfette craft inspired by their newest movie release, Smurfs: the Lost Village. Once the craft is complete you can make it into a necklace, key chain, or frame it as room decor.

Perler beads are recommended for children ages 6 and up because the pieces are very small. They also take a fair amount of fine motor skills to place them on a pegboard.

Smurfette Craft Instructions

Print a picture of Smurfette’s head. Tape the pegboard to the picture. Began adding the colored perler beads over the picture as seen in the video. Once the perler beads are in place, put the parchment paper over the perler beads. The ironing process works better when there is a piece of parchment paper under the peg board as well. Move the iron over the parchment paper that is on top of the perler beads in a side-to-side motion. For best results, do not press or leave the iron in one spot too long.
