Toys That Teach: KNEX Education Unboxing

KNEX Education STEM Toys

My twins love to build. They always loved constructing new creations. Recently, we partnered with K’NEX Education to share an unboxing video. The video shows my girls favorite new set: STEM Explorations: Roller Coaster Building Set. This set is recommended for kids ages 8 and up.

When I asked my kids what they like about the set, they immediately said “Everything.” When they elaborated they said, “I like that the roller coaster set comes with 3 different cool experiments. The track is also compatible with our other K’NEX bricks, so when we want to extend it and make one gigantic set, we can.”
Furthermore, as a parent, K’NEX has a lot of little pieces which worried me at first. However, my kids have developed a sense of responsibility to keep their K’NEX in one room. The building possibilities with K’NEX pieces seem endless so kids who love to build, like my children, can create almost anything they can imagine. For my family, this is a wonderful alternative to watching TV or playing video games for long hours. I love the creativity they are using on their own. I also love watching the complexity of the things they make change as they grow older.

K’NEX building sets usually have several building models that kids can create. Kids can also switch around the motors to create cool moving parts. K’NEX bricks are excellent at keeping my daughter’s attention for long periods of time. This STEM toy takes learning through play to a whole new level.

Additionally, I was thrilled to learn that K’NEX are made here in America. Read more about their Pennsylvania toy company below.

Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel because there will be more videos to come. The next video will show how to build the K’NEX education roller coaster set and the 3 science experiments that also came in the box.

    1. Awesome. My girls have thousands of KYNEX but it’s something that they really enjoy so I am happy with it. Kids can make so many different things, but each set comes with instructions on how to make various things.

  1. I am always on a look-out for these. I have 3 nieces and nephews under the age of 3 and I want them to not just get entertainment from their toys, but learn things as well.

    1. My kids have made some amazing things: an oscillating fan, a table, phonograph, ball factory etc. If your son like to build he will probably love these.

  2. It is wonderful that you have your girls involved in activities like this KNEX building set that keep their minds engaged and their imaginations looming.

  3. Our son is already interested in becoming a surgeon. Even though Kynex appears to be ideal for engineers, it can definitely help him with his problem solving and coordination.

  4. I love it! They did a great job. My kids haven’t gotten into K’nex but I’ll definitely look into it – they really love to build too.

  5. I didn’t even know they still made these. That’s awesome. Hopefully the twins’ love for building doesn’t die out. I wish my brother would do more things like this.

  6. These are still around. I grew up with these in the 90s these were so fun to play with. I just assumed because of technology kids didnt play with this anymore. Glad to know they are still here.

OMG! My daughter loves to build and we have another popular girl branded building kit. But to be able to make a roller coaster would be so awesome!

  8. This looks so fun and educational! I remember similar toys when I was a child, I definitely plan on having toys like this around when I start having kids.
