August 11, 2012 VeggieTales Releases “The Penniless Princess”

If you have ever seen the “Little Princess” than you are aware of the charming story with lots of great moral lessons, which teach children wholesome values. Veggietales is releasing a parody of the classic on August 11th called “The Penniless Princess.”

This story is excellent for young and older children, so they can learn empathy through the character, Sarah Crewe. While the movie can be seen as just for girls, I think it is a fun movie for both genders. Sarah has a vivid imagination and her tales and actions are adventurous and thoughtful. The movies helps teach the importance of self-esteem and knowing that God made everyone unique and special. The story helps children reflect on life, which is not always happy-go-lucky, but even when problems or sadness arises God continues to love us and take care of us.

Key Verse: Romans 8:39 No power in the sky above or in the
earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able
to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ
Jesus our Lord.

If you like your child to watch videos with fun silly songs, and thoughful moral messages this video is a lesson in truth worth, which is an important concept for children to learn.
