Check Your Receipts

I have previously shared how much I like the Children’s Place and the awesome deals that can be found.  Recently after receiving a $10 reward in the mail I went to the store to purchase about $10 worth of clothes for the future because they are set for the current summer.

The sale was unbelievable as usual; merchandise rang up from $1.99 upwards.  I purchased two sweaters, one pair of jeans, one pair of shoes, and one set of capri pants.  The line was wrapped around the store so I was ready to leave. While I waited, I should have calculated my total because it came to $13.96, after I used my $10 rewards coupon and a 15% off coupon.

Once in the car, I reviewed my receipt and found 3 items on it that I did not purchase.  I mentioned it to my husband and then returned to the store and received a refund of almost $12 so it pays to review your receipt. You should also know what to expect at the check out counter.

Total spent out of pocket – Less than $2
