Children’s Place Dresses

With Easter season in the air, I was struck with dress buying fever.  I turned on my computer and searched through some of my favorite children’s stores for just the right dresses for my twins.  The Children’s Place Dressy Collection this spring was awesome.  I adored the dainty threads of yellow, blue, and white; pink and green, and other pastel variations.  The dresses are originally priced at $24.00, so I knew immediately that I would wait until they were on sale.

In April, I purchased 5 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, 5 sweaters, 1 skirt, 2 belts, and 2 long sleeve shirts for the girls.  My total: $78.65 for 17 items (which adds up to less than $5 an item).  My intent was to buy most of the items for next year, but now that they have arrived I am crossing my fingers that I purchased a size large enough for Elle, my chubby little lady.

Here is how I did it.  I waited until The Children’s Place was having a 40% off clearance sale on the collection.  I signed up for their Place rewards card (which offers $10 cash back for every 75 points earned), and I used a 15% off coupon that was emailed to me.  Overall all, my key tip this week is don’t be afraid to wait.  Stores prices will come down.

Tip: Always look for a coupon, their coupons can be found online or in magazines (such as Family Circle or American Baby).  Sign up online at their website to receive their advertisements and sale information, and join their birthday club. The Children’s Place always has great deals.
