Cord organizer: Review and Giveaway iStopDrop.com (2 Winners)
Posted on May 3, 2012 | 4 CommentsTime savers are extremely important to me because being organized is essential to time management. David Norris is credited with saying, “How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected, but time is gone forever.” Ironically, iStopDrop.com‘s cord organizer is both a money saving and time management tool. Unfortunately, before I was sent this product, I would easily waste 3 or 5 minutes a day (sometimes longer) looking for my charging cables or cord connectors for my kid’s Innotab or for our camera. Seriously, I have not been this pleased... -

Crayola recently created an Outdoor Colored Bubbles product and it is a blast for kids. My girls love playing with bubbles like most kids, but these bubbles provide color and give them an opportunity to get messy and have fun. My daughters really enjoy playing, so I am always looking for safe toys that will keep them entertained. One part of learning for children is learning... -

FunBites Review and Giveaway
Posted on January 17, 2012 | 12 CommentsMy girls and I were so excited when we received FunBites cutters. The possibilities of creative edible treats are endless. FunBites are a great way to get children to eat without giving them constant reminders to eat their food. This past Sunday morning, my husband woke up and fixed our family breakfast. While the cranberry pancakes were a sweet fluffy golden treat on their own, FunBites, food cutters made our breakfast even better. He arranged the pancakes as a smiling sunshine happy face, which really brightened up our morning. 2 To Choose From There are two FunBites cutters available:... -
Review and Giveaway: “Taken” by Brock Eastman
Posted on January 9, 2012 | 2 CommentsIf you want to get your pre-teens and teens reading, then hand them a copy of “Taken.” This book is brought to you by FOCUS ON THE FAMILY and P & R Publishing. The book is a fast paced adventure story. “Taken” was like a movie of word pictures floating through my mind that I thoroughly enjoyed viewing. I was totally captivated and immersed in the story, so much so, that I was disappointed when the book came to an end. As a kid, I enjoyed reading science fiction, but really didn’t read it often. This book was wholesome, creative,... -
Review and Giveaway: Imagination Station Presents: Showdown with the Shepard and Problems at Plymouth
Posted on November 8, 2011 | 10 CommentsIf your children ages 7 and on are not following the Imagination Station Books, they are definitely missing out on a real treat. The books are fictional, but from a historical viewpoint. I enjoy reading the stories out-loud to my own children. The action is riveting; especially for a child’s book. So far, these two books: Showdown with the Shepard and Problems at Plymouth are my favorites. Showdown With the Shepard #5 by Marianne Hering and Brock Eastman Take a minute a guess, which biblical story this book with depict. Yes, the book engages the reader as a spectator in... -
Closed – Giveaway in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month: PINK TOGETHER
Posted on October 3, 2011 | 14 CommentsOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I thought I would reflect on what I think of when I hear “breast cancer.” Immediately, the word survivor comes to mind. When I see pink ribbons on products in the stores, I think of courageous women and men, young and old, who have battled breast cancer. Together we can fight it, and together we will win! My family was first effected by breast cancer in the 90s, my aunt was diagnosed and continued to live on for 10 years until the disease returned. She was a fighter. She taught me to find... -

Review and Giveaway: Child Up Early Mathematics – CLOSED Learning
Posted on September 5, 2011 | 5 CommentsMy Experience Child Up learning logic math cards are a wonderful resource that is great for parents to use to teach their children mathematics. When we started using the math and logic cards my 2 year old kids could already count to 20, and recognize numbers from 1-10, but they did not understand how to count objects or add and subtract. The cards are for boys & girls – from 1 to 5 years old. The cards teach children to identify their numbers and learn basic arithmetic and understand the concept of zero. On the back of the zero cards... -

Posted on August 23, 2011 | 7 CommentsSee below to win VeggeTales Sweetpea Beauty DVD VeggieTales Sweetpea Beauty: A girl after God’s own heart is a parody of Cinderella and Snow White with a biblical spin. Both stories help girls focus on cultivating inner character traits such as kindness and compassion. They also teach that listening to positive thinking and having positive influences will help your life become better. Lately mainstream media has given a lot of attention to young girls and their outward appearance; for instance, models posing provocative at the age of ten, toddlers in tiaras, and the mom “pretending” to give her daughter botox.... -
