How to Safely Hide Mounted TV Cables

Bringing a flat TV screen home is contemporary and offers a streamlined look. Having wires hanging down with the cords exposed is unsightly. We don’t watch much TV, but I still wanted to have at least one in our home so our guests would be able to watch TV or movies when they come to visit us. After purchasing a TV I quickly discovered that we needed to hide mounted TV cables because they look unpolished and tacky. It was too late for me to get the store where I bought the TV to mount and hide the cords.

So, being the frugal person I am, I wanted to hide the TV cables without paying a third-party company to charge me close to the same price we paid for the TV. After consulting my husband I discovered that he couldn’t just tuck them away behind the walls. Instead he needed to properly store the wires so they wouldn’t dangle beside the wall and insulation because doing so could be a fire hazard.

After doing a little research we discovered how quickly and easily a person could use a cord organizing kit with power source to hide their cords safely.

Mount and hide the cords yourself with a cable organizer kit

1st.

Decide how you want to display the cords: covered or completely hidden.

The first step is to decide if you want to cut your wall or just hide the wires. Just covering the cords is the easiest way, but in my opinion, it doesn’t look that great.
