Review: You Be-Natural Detangling Shampoo

Loc Petal Bangs and Twisted Bun #naturalhair

So far, You Be-Natural‘s Shampoo is my favorite hair product from their collection. Shampoo is one of the most important hair products I use. Therefore, finding a great shampoo is essential within my natural hair journey.

3 characteristics a natural hair detangling shampoo needs:

  1. Clean well without being too thick.
  2. Easily wash through the hair-strands/locs without leaving any clumps of product behind.
  3. Moisturizes and cleanses without making the hair feel dry or brittle.

You Be-Natural fulfills all 3 characteristics to deliver a solid product that cleans and moisturizes at the same time.

I used You Be-Natural’s Tangle Me Knot Detangling Shampoo to wash my hair and my daughters’ hair. The best part about the Shampoo is that the shampoo does not tangle the hair. So yes, the product is true to it’s name. I have used many of the popular natural hair shampoo brands but most have caused my daughter with 4c hair to tangle so much it looked like her hair was starting to dread.

About You Be-Natural’s Tangle Me Knot Detangling Shampoo

You Be-Natural’s Shampoo smells fresh like a light scent of flowers. I used about a dime-sized amount on both of my daughters. Their hair textures are different but this product worked well for both textures. I was grateful that the no tangle promise held true for both hair types. The shampoo kept their hair moisturized and soft.

The ingredients promote moisture to help prevent dryness.  Tangle Me Knot contains Argan, Jojoba, and Wheat Germ Oils which feels silky smooth as it goes onto the hair. Thankfully, it doesn’t contain parabens or sulfate. Overall, I was very happy that the shampoo softened by locs and washed out easily. I will definitely use this shampoo again. It can take a while to find a shampoo that completely cleans and doesn’t cause knots or tangles that can be painful to unravel afterwards.
